Below are some examples of recent work undertaken

Epos Systems Trainer at WM Morrisons Supermarkets PLC

 

Objective – Deliver in store training to all departments on the new Pegasus Storeline system to all 400+ stores.

 

Method – Utilise Training Script and Equipment provided in each store to facilitate delegates learning.

 

· Responsible for delivering business process systems training within a retail environment for end users.

· Provide live day operational support.

· Liaise with clients to establish training needs and objectives.

· Setting up and testing of equipment and any other training aides.

· Keeping abreast of all developments in national standards and best practice.

· Assisting with both in-house and external projects as required.

· Assist in-house administration team to be prepared for the changeover to the new system.

· Provide delegates with feedback and highlight any potential issues to the relevant Department Manager.

· Assess all delegates using both practical and theoretical competency testing.

 

· Adhere to Morrisons best practice and values regarding training.

 

 

Epos Systems Trainer at Marks & Spencer PLC

 

Objective – Deliver classroom based training to all departments on the new bespoke Smart Technology Epos software throughout the M&S group.

 

Method - Utilise Equipment, Training Script and e-learning facility to enhance the training sessions.

 

· Responsible for delivering business process systems training within a retail environment for end users.

· Provide live day operational support.

· Liaise with clients to establish training needs and objectives.

· Setting up and testing of equipment and any other training aides.

· Keeping abreast of all developments in national standards and best practice.

· Assisting with both in-house and external projects as required.

· Assist in-house administration team to be prepared for the changeover to the new system.

· Provide delegates with feedback and highlight any potential issues to the relevant Department Manager.

 

· Assess all delegates using web based theoretical competency testing.

 

· Facilitate stores own coaches to utilise basic soft skills when coaching new staff.

 

· Renew delegates knowledge of M&S idiom on Customer Service – “Doing the Right Thing”.

 

· Reinforce M&S Brand Values.

 

 

Epos Installation/Training Engineer at Oxfam

 

Objective – Installation and training on a new Epos System utilising new bespoke software for “Gift Aid” to all 635 shops.

 

Method – Complete an individual site on a daily basis.

 

· Set up and test all new equipment including fault find and repair where necessary.

 

· Check equipment for remote desktop access and remote reporting procedure.

 

· Install Cat 5 network where applicable.

 

· Train Managers and all Volunteers on the system and procedures required.
